Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishing Program 2020-101

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishing Program works with partners in industry, labor, trade associations, professional organizations, and academia. The program currently focuses on these areas:

• Reducing illness and injury in agriculture workers;
• Reducing traumatic injuries and musculoskeletal disorders in workers within the commercial fishing
  industry; and
• Reducing injuries and illnesses in forestry workers.

The program provides coordination between intra- and extramural efforts nationwide, including 11 Centers for Agricultural Safety and Health, investigator-initiated grantmaking efforts, NIOSH’s Commercial Fishing and SENSOR-Pesticides programs, and other intramural projects.
