The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) NCHS Confidentiality Training: Safeguarding Confidential Information was developed with the assistance of the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) in collaboration with CDC's Office of Surveillance, Epidemiology and Laboratory Services.

 

Federal law requires NCHS to safeguard confidential information. This training explains requirements and penalties for the willful, unauthorized disclosure of confidential information.
