Millions of people in the United States are at risk for, or are living with, HIV, viral hepatitis, a sexually transmitted disease (STD) or tuberculosis (TB). Despite regular interactions with the healthcare system, many people are not receiving recommended clinical prevention and care services necessary to improve their health and avoid getting or spreading these infections.

Delivering high-quality and evidence-based prevention and care services is critical to achieving national goals for reducing HIV, viral hepatitis, STDs, and TB, and protecting the health of youth. CDC’s National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention’s High Quality Care: Access & Delivery web page offers information and resources that healthcare providers and settings can use to improve service delivery and engage patients, as well as patient resources.
