Management structure for school screening

The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) has the duty and authority for public health surveillance and control in Wyoming. This includes oversight and authority for surveillance testing and contact tracing. The WDH will contract directly with school districts that request funding. The activities conducted with this funding will be under the authority and direction of the WDH.

Support provided to school districts

WDH will provide technical assistance for development and implementation of surveillance testing per CDC guidance and current transmission levels. WDH has a variety of testing options available for the schools and will utilize the most appropriated methodology for the planned surveillance, which may include routine screening testing.
