State Physical Activity and Nutrition (SPAN) Program
CDC funds 16 state recipients to implement evidence-based strategies at state and local levels to improve nutrition and physical activity. SPAN recipient actions include efforts to reduce or eliminate health disparities with specific groups which are more at risk for poor nutrition and physical inactivity than other groups.
