Carlinda Nelson

Carlinda Nelson, BBA, MA is the Acting Director and Deputy Director of the Division of Human Development and Disability, National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities at CDC.  In this role, Ms. Nelson provides senior-level leadership in organizational structure and strategy, financial systems, operations management and improvement, workforce development, and several other areas to support the work of DHDD.  Ms. Nelson joined CDC in 1986 and has professional interest in accounting and financial analysis, managing and leading across cultures, executive coaching, mentoring and career development.
