Dr. Beverly Fortson is a Behavioral Scientist in the Research and Evaluation Branch, Division of Violence Prevention in the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Fortson’s work focuses on developing and evaluating programs and activities that promote positive parenting and prevent child maltreatment. Dr. Fortson is also interested in the utility of interventions for children with trauma exposure and behavior problems.
Dr. Fortson has provided clinical services to children and families for about 13 years and is a licensed clinical psychologist.
