3,500 sleep-related infant deaths: What can healthcare providers and caregivers do to help babies sleep safer?

Every year, there are about 3,500 sleep-related deaths among U.S. babies. According to the latest CDC Vital Signs report, about 1 in 5 mothers reported not placing their baby on his or her back to sleep, and 2 in 5 reported using soft bedding.
