Yara Haddad is an epidemiologist and pharmacist on the Safety Promotion Team in the Division of Injury Prevention (DIP) at CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. Her expertise is geriatric care, older adult fall and injury prevention, and effects of medications and polypharmacy on older adult safety.
Dr. Haddad has more than 11 years of clinical pharmacy experience and more than five years of public health experience in injury prevention. She has worked in various sectors, including community pharmacy, academia, private sector, and government. She began her career at CDC as a Student Workforce Experiential Program participant while she pursued her MPH degree.
Dr. Haddad holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, a Master of Public of Health degree from the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, and a board certification in geriatric pharmacy.
