Mark Stevens, MSPH, MA, is a mathematical statistician and serves as team lead of the Applied Statistics Team in the Data Analytics Branch of the Division of Injury Prevention at CDC’s Injury Center. His work at CDC has been focused on complex survey data analysis and mixed (hierarchical) modeling methodology.

He began his career at CDC in 1999 as a health care analyst contracted to the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP) of the CDC’s National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STDs, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP). He started full time employment in 2001 as a mathematical statistician in the Division of Diabetes Translation (DDT) of CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP). He continued in 2009 as a mathematical statistician in the Division of Violence Prevention at the Injury Center.
