1. Data to action: Georgia used overdose surveillance data to identify rural and urban hot-spots for opioid overdoses to target in a multimedia public awareness campaign on the risks of prescription and illicit opioids. The campaign focused on 18 rural and urban counties in Georgia.
2. Providing prescriber education: Georgia is developing best practice recommendations for opioid prescribers for care of patients with opioid use disorder based on CDC’s Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain.
