1. Building emergency preparedness: Colorado improved its capacity to respond to opioid-related outbreaks by deploying hands-on exercises in local communities that helped identify gaps in responses, as well as best practices.
2. Creating fentanyl alerts: Colorado’s fentanyl early warning system integrated more than five diverse data systems to encourage more accurate and timely outbreak responses and communications.
