1. Building treatment capacity: Alaska increased access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) trainings. MAT is a treatment for opioid use disorder combining the use of medications with counseling and behavioral therapies.
2. Supporting Mental Health First Aid: Alaska exponentially increased mental health first aid among emergency responders through the Alaska Training Cooperative. A program that trained 27 public safety officials in Mental Health First Aid for Public Safety, who were then each required to teach the training three more times.
