Find an HIV Test

Find an HIV Test
How do I find an HIV test?

Most HIV tests are available for free or at a reduced cost.

Ask your health care provider for an HIV test. Many medical clinics, substance abuse programs, community health centers, and hospitals offer them too.

You can find a testing site near you by

  • using CDC’s HIV prevention services locator below,
  • visiting gettested.cdc.gov, or
  • calling 1-800-CDC-INFO (232-4636).

You can also buy an HIV self-test at a pharmacy or online or visit gettested.cdc.gov to see if any organizations in your area are offering free or reduced cost self-tests.
