Figure 4.3. Incidence rates of acute hepatitis C decreased dramatically for both males and females through 2003 and remained fairly constant from 2004 through 2010. Rates for males declined faster than rates for females and by 2004, the rates were nearly equal. In 2010, rates for males and females were both estimated at 0.3 cases per 100,000 population.
