Figure 2.3. Through 2002, rates of acute hepatitis A were higher among males than females. Since 2003, the rates of acute hepatitis A have been similar between males and females. In 2010, the incidence rate among males (0.6 cases per 100,000 population) was similar to that among females (0.5 cases per 100,000 population).
