Flu and You
Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every season, especially people at higher risk.
Take actions every day to help stop the spread of germs. Getting a flu vaccine is the most important.
There are prescription medications called “flu antiviral drugs” that can be used to treat flu illness.
For the 2016-2017 season, only injectable flu shot are recommended for use. Flu vaccines have been updated to better match circulating viruses and there will be some new vaccines on the market this season.
