2015 TATFAR Meeting
The biennial in-person TATFAR meeting will take place October 22-23, 2015 in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg at the Sofitel Hotel Luxembourg Europe.
The purpose of the 2015 TATFAR meeting is to fortify relationships and collaborations on activities relating to antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
The meeting will bring together representatives from institutional members of TATFAR from the European Union (EU) and the U.S., as well as representatives of the EU/European Economic Area Member States and Canada. With the increasing importance of antimicrobial resistance globally, this meeting will serve a critical role in assessing TATFAR’s work to date, reviewing other international AMR initiatives, and shaping TATFAR’s future involvement with related AMR efforts.
Meeting topics will include recent achievements and challenges in AMR, treatment and prevention of resistant infections in human medicine, antibiotic use in veterinary medicine, the research and development of new antimicrobial agents and keeping current antibiotics effective, and global AMR activities.
This two-day meeting will include oral presentations, breakout sessions, and workshops led by some of the world’s foremost experts on antimicrobial resistance. The meeting will encourage innovation and information exchange in planning how TATFAR members can better partner to slow one of public health’s biggest threats.
