Heart Disease Death Rates, Blacks Ages 65+

Geographic Patterns: Heart Disease Death Rates for 2018 through 2020 for Blacks Aged 65 Years and Older by County. The map shows that concentrations of counties with the highest heart disease death rates for Blacks – meaning the top quintile – are located primarily in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Maryland and Oklahoma.  Pockets of high-rate counties also were found in parts of Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Nevada, and Texas.
