Vision:
Timely, high-quality data guide public health decisions and actions.
Mission:
Provide leadership in surveillance and informatics and support CDC and its partners with state-of-the-art information systems, capacity building services, and high-quality data to guide public health decisions and actions.
Modernize case-based surveillance to meet evolving routine and emergency public health needs by innovating to streamline case reporting from healthcare to health departments to CDC and to advance data collection, integration, analysis, and visualization.

Modernize syndromic surveillance to meet evolving routine and emergency public health needs by increasing the number of facilities participating, improving the quality of the data feeds, adding new data sources, and innovating with new data integration, analysis, and visualization.
