Monique Williams Jester, BS, MPA, is the Associate Director and Management Officer for the Management Resources Office in the Office of Readiness and Response. Mrs. Jester came to CDC from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), where she served as a Supervisory Administrative Officer in the Office of Supervision and Examinations. In that role she was responsible for overseeing the day to day operations for supporting 110 remote staff throughout the southeast, in roles including budgeting and finance, staffing and workload analysis, human resources, IT, procurement, training, records management, travel, and clerical support.

Prior to that role she served CFPB as Chief of Staff, Supervision, Enforcement and Fair Lending in the Office of Enforcement in Washington DC, where she managed the budget process, including duties of formulating budgets, justifying and executing policies, and implementing financial management and financial reporting requirements. Before her role with CFPB, Monique worked for the Executive Office of the President in the Office of Management and Budget where she was a Program Examiner charged with formulating and ensuring the appropriate execution of the President’s Budget for the Department of Justice (DOJ) totaling $28 billion.

Mrs. Jester received her Bachelor of Arts, International Relations degree from York University in Ontario, Canada, and her Masters in Public Administration from Howard University. She is proud to have contributed to the preparation of the Federal Budget for Fiscal Years 2009-2015.
