Dr. Laser has led many laboratory system-wide improvement projects during his career including spearheading a multidisciplinary and inter-professional team in a system-wide glucometer conversion and leading a project to put both the inpatient and outpatient laboratories on the patient portal. He is co-chair of the Long Island Jewish Medical Center’s Inter-professional Laboratory Council, which has carried out system-wide projects such as transfusion medicine risk assessment, standardization of blood administration, and standardization of phlebotomy. He was also an active member in creating their laboratory policies and procedures during Ebola preparedness efforts.
