Dr. Couturier is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and Medical Director in infectious disease and immunology at ARUP Laboratories. His research interests include Helicobacter pylori diagnostics and population prevalence and antibiotic resistance. Dr. Couturier also has a research focus and numerous publications aimed at developing improved diagnostics for emerging agents of infectious gastroenteritis. He serves on the American Society for Microbiology’s (ASM) Committee for Laboratory Practices within the Public and Scientific Affairs Board and received the ASM Young Investigator Award for 2017.
