Provision of Technical Assistance and Training Activities to Assure Comprehensive Cancer Control Outcomes (NOFO-DP18-1805)

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) CDC-RFA-DP18-1805, Provision of Technical Assistance and Training Activities to Assure Comprehensive Cancer Control Outcomes, will fund up to two recipients with expertise, capacity, and national reach in chronic disease prevention to provide technical assistance and training (TAT) to National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (NCCCP) awardees and their coalitions.

Recipients will increase the ability of NCCCP awardees and their coalitions to implement evidence-based interventions and promising practices in primary prevention, cancer screening, and cancer survivorship. Using TAT framework based on current research and evaluation findings, national organizations will implement core strategies:

  • Conducting a comprehensive needs assessment of NCCCP recipients capacity to implement evidence-based interventions;
  • Identifying and implementing a process to build capacity among NCCCP recipients;
  • Coordinating and collaborating with existing partnership networks to enhance TAT efforts;
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating a TAT plan; and
  • Evaluating TAT efforts.
