| November 15, 2019 | Application period opens for 2020 fellowship |
| January 15, 2020 | Deadline to submit online application (11:59 pm ET) |
| March 29, 2020 | Applicants notified of selection decision via e-mail |
| July 13–17, 2020 | 5-day summer course at CDC headquarters, Atlanta, GA |
| July 2020–June 2021 | Collaborate with CDC remotely for remainder of fellowship |
