State Biomonitoring Grants

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS)

MDHHS will focus on a Michigan State-wide Surveillance Project to assess exposure to heavy metals, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), polychlorinated biphenyls, and organochlorine pesticides in adult Michigan residents to establish exposure reference levels in the state. In addition, MDHHS will conduct a targeted investigation to assess occupational exposures to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances among firefighters.
