• Emergency department (ED) asthma visits
  63.2% of patients had ED visits in the year prior to first visit 31.6% of patients had ED visits in the follow-up year (p = .024)
   
• Hospitalizations for asthma
  21.2% of patients were hospitalized in the year prior to first visit 3.8% of patients were hospitalized in the follow-up year (p = .013)
