CDC Public Health Grand Rounds: Webcast on Stroke Prevention and Treatment

In May 2016, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention hosted a Public Health Grand Rounds: Mind Your Risks and Act FAST to Prevent and Treat Strokes. The webcast features presentations from experts on the importance of knowing the risk for stroke and acting quickly if a stroke occurs. The webcast also discussed how public health programs and health care providers are working together to improve the quality of stroke care and treatment. Watch the webcast.

Coffee Breaks: Webinar Series

The CDC’s Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention “Coffee Breaks” webinar series has been expanded to bring you a greater variety of topics!

CDC’s Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP) monthly Coffee Break webinar series offers 20 minute mini-trainings focused on knowledge translation tools and evaluation basics for chronic disease programs. Each session provides an overview of a selected topic and is presented by a CDC subject matter expert. Topics may include evaluation strategies, evidence-based tools, and/or translation resources. Examples referenced in the sessions are drawn from multiple chronic disease prevention and health promotion programs. All staff members from state public health programs are invited to participate.
