VTrckS Connection Newsletter
As we eagerly anticipate the end of this cold winter, NCIRD leadership and the VTrckS team are looking forward to several exciting initiatives this spring! First and foremost is the roll-out of the new ExIS Returns & Wastage interface functionality (see the article on page 3 for more details). We truly appreciate the effort and input of our pilot awardees Florida and Alaska, as well as everyone who completed the ExIS Deployment Assessment and asked questions during ExIS Bi-Monthly Calls—your feedback and participation are crucial to the success of this enhancement!
We also want to highlight the upcoming VTrckS User Group call on April 22, 2014 at 3 pm ET. As we outlined last fall when we launched the user group, these calls will periodically focus on strategic topics geared particularly towards awardee Immunization Program Managers. As such, the upcoming April call will focus on both CDC and awardee operational planning for system outages. Given the unscheduled VTrckS outage at the end of February, it is timely for CDC to provide an overview of our outage response plans; we will also discuss some considerations for awardees in their own operational planning efforts. Please stay tuned for additional details regarding this call, and best wishes for a happy spring!
