Provider Deployment

CDC is turning its focus to working more closely with the VTrckS Direct awardees that are or will be deploying providers to the system, to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of their transition plans. As part of this initiative, over the next two months, VTrckS leadership and program staff will contact selected VTrckS Direct awardees to determine how we can best work together to jumpstart their provider deployment efforts. We will seek to identify and overcome challenges to timely movement of providers onto VTrckS, and will also seek to facilitate updates to awardees’ provider deployment plans as needed.

Read the June/July 2013 VTrckS Connection article for lessons learned from Vermont, which has successfully deployed 100% of its providers. The VTrckS Training Library also features several reference guides, How-To documents, and process flows for awardee use in training providers on the system.

Update on Provider Deployments

11 VTrckS Direct Awardees are or will deploy providers to the system

Est. Total Number of Provider Offices reported by these 11 VTrckS Direct Awardees: 4,862 (per provider deployment plans)

Current Number of Provider Offices ordering vaccine directly in VTrckS: 1,363

Kudos to Vermont for achieving >90% deployment of their providers, and to Alabama, Indiana, and New Hampshire for their current efforts!

VTrckS Ongoing Training Courses for December

In November we re-launched the VTrckS Ongoing Training classes, featuring a fresh set of courses geared toward all VTrckS users—whether you are a brand-new awardee staff member or want to become more proficient in a specific area. The VTrckS Ongoing Trainings continue in December with all-new content enhanced to incorporate new system functionality, hints, and tips learned during/since deployment. The curriculum and schedule can be found on the VTrckS Training Library; December is highlighted below.

Logistics for ongoing training:

  • Two-hour webinars will be held Wednesdays at 2:00 pm ET
  • The dial-in number, Live Meeting link, and presentation for each session are included on the schedule in the Training Library—you will NOT receive separate meeting invitations
  • Advance reservations are not required to attend the trainings; simply call in/join the Live Meeting at the appointed time
  • You can email the Contact Center to obtain recordings of past courses, or retrieve recent recordings from the Training Library (click on Grantee > What’s New (View Recent Training Webinars and Recordings Here))
