VTrckS Connection Newsletter
The transition to Spend Plan and full VTrckS will take time and effort on behalf of CDC, your staff, and your providers. To manage this influx of information and new practices, CDC will roll out a series of webinars that are mapped to a specific deployment topic to ensure consistent communication to each of you.
A module is a PowerPoint presentation that is presented during a webinar. The accompanying manual, a word document, is provided as a reference containing details about topics and tasks discussed during the webinar. In addition, the manual highlights specific action items, support resources, and timelines for completing preliminary tasks necessary for a successful go-live experience. Spend Plan has a series of four Spend Plan Modules and Manuals (SP-MMs) and full VTrckS has a series of six Vaccine Management Modules and Manuals (VM-MMs).
SP-MMs cover topics including:
Spend Plan Overview (SP-MM1) - This is the first step in your transition to VTrckS. The materials give you an overview of what to expect over the next few months. It also outlines assignments that you will need to complete before you go live.
Spend Plan Security Access (SP-MM2) - You will learn how to complete the security-related activities, such as identity proofing that are required before any individuals can access VTrckS namely, requesting Secure Access Management Services (SAMS) access and completing the VTrckS User Access Form.
Spend Plan Training Preparation (SP-MM3) - Grantee end user training is designed to help you become proficient in using VTrckS. In this MM, you are introduced to the training format of the Spend Plan courses. We also give you an overview of the class syllabus and a training schedule.
Spend Plan Transition Activities (SP-MM4) - We review the Spend Plan checklist to make sure that you have met your milestones and to review any remaining action items. You are introduced to what to expect on the day of your Go-Live. Lastly, discussions are held regarding what you need to do after you go live to maintain your Spend Plan in VTrckS.
