VTrckS 2.0 Coming Soon
June/July 2011
VTrckS Connection Newsletter
The predominantly "off the shelf" version of VTrckS has been piloted since December of 2010. CDC is now shifting focus in optimizing the system for its next major release - VTrckS 2.0 slated for February 2012.
In August 2011, the VTrckS Operations and Maintenance (O+M) team will start implementation of changes to optimize the VTrckS system. This optimization will include the first wave of recommendations from the VPUG as well as "quick wins" to implement and improve user experience. These enhancements are slated for pilot implementation on February 13, 2012. VPUG has offered valuable VTrckS feedback to reduce the number of screens, clicks, and transactions, and to improve usability.
Currently, historical enhancement requests from grantees, the Grantee Advisory Committee, and CDC users have been prioritized. Top "optimizations" that are high impact and value are being identified. ISD and the O+M team have identified and recommended enhancements that could be implemented for users in the next major release. Additionally the VPUG has submitted their prioritized list. With the inclusion of these three inputs, CDC is finalizing what will comprise VTrckS Release 2.0.
The aim of these improvements will reduce the number of clicks and screens, pre-populate data and streamline the system's flow.
