Deployment Planning

The VTrckS team would like to extend their appreciation to grantees for completing the VTrckS Deployment Survey. The results of this assessment are being utilized to create a deployment schedule for grantees based on their individual needs and distribution of resources.

While the deployment planning is still underway, CDC has determined the following: Deployment will happen in two stages: Spend Plan and full VTrckS deployment. Starting in February 2012, five grantees will be chosen to pilot the Spend Plan. From April to June 2012, the rest of the grantees will transition to Spend Plan functionality. Starting in April 2012 through June 2013, CDC will transition all grantees to full VTrckS.

The Modules and Manuals approach will be used for both deployments. More details on this approach will be offered in the next newsletter.

Learning the Lingo

VTrckS terminology can be unique and different than what you’re accustomed to hearing. Each month we’ll share a few new terms

Program Automation: When software programs are able to populate information via an interface or automatically within the same program.
Interface: Screens or programs used to exchange information between different systems or between users and systems.)

VTrckS Training Environment Launches
