Adult Vaccine Recommendations
There are a number of vaccines routinely recommended for adults in the U.S. based on age, health condition, occupation, lifestyle, and other risk factors. Each year, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) reviews the recommended adult (anyone over 18 years old) immunization schedule to ensure that the schedule reflects current recommendations for the licensed vaccines.
Stay up-to-date with current ACIP recommended schedule for routine adult immunization, categorized by age group and medical conditions. Important footnotes follow the schedules.
Adults may also need other vaccines if they are traveling outside the U.S.
Consult this quick and easy tool to search the destination of your traveling patient and get a list of needed vaccines and medications. You can search by those traveling with children, chronic disease, cruise ship, immune compromised, pregnant, mission/disaster relief, and visiting friends or family.
