Return to Global TB

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Tuberculosis Elimination (DTBE) has more than 30 full-time staff dedicated to achieving U.S. Government targets for global TB control. These staff have diverse backgrounds in administration, architecture, behavioral science, clinical medicine, engineering, epidemiology, genetics, infection control, laboratory science and microbiology, pediatrics, research, and statistics.CDC/DTBE also has a significant and growing international presence, with field staff located in Botswana, China, India, and Thailand. CDC/DTBE has worked in every region of the world, providing technical assistance and participating in research collaborations to improve TB control. Significant programmatic and research collaborations are ongoing in Botswana, Cambodia, China, Guyana, Ethiopia, Haiti, India, Kenya, Lesotho, Mexico, Mozambique, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand, and Vietnam, indicated by highlighted sections in the map below.
