Based on initial isolates from persons with no prior history of TB, the percentage of isoniazid resistance was approximately two times higher among foreign-born persons than among U.S.-born persons. In foreign-born persons, the percentage declined from 12.4% in 1993 to 9.2% in 2010. In U.S.-born persons, the percentage decreased from 6.8% in 1993 to 5.6% in 2010.
