| Slide 10: Percentage of TB Cases Among Foreign-born
Persons. The percentage of each state’s total number of TB
cases that occurred in foreign-born persons is highlighted for 1992 and
2000 in these two side-by-side maps. The number of states with at least
50% of cases in the foreign-born increased from 4 in 1992 to 21 in 2000.
The percentage was at least 70% in five states: CA, HI, MA, MN, and NH.
