Everyone attending the TB ETN PEN Conference must complete and return a registration form to Teresa Goss by email email@example.com or fax 404-639-1802. The conference registration deadline is August 29, 2016. There is no registration fee.
The CDC has reserved a block of sleeping rooms at the Marriott SpringHill Suites, 3459 Buckhead Loop, NE, Atlanta, GA 30326, for the federal government rate of $138/night, plus tax. Conference participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations by August 29th. Participants may reserve a room online at Book your group rate for 2016 ETN PEN Conference or by calling Marriott Reservations at 1-888-287-9400. Be sure to identify yourself as an attendee of the 2016 TB ETN/PEN Conference. The Marriott SpringHill Suites is located in the heart of Buckhead and within walking distance of Lenox Square and a variety of restaurants. The hotel provides free, high-speed internet, both wired and wireless, in all areas of the building including guest rooms. A complimentary shuttle is available to areas within a two mile radius of the hotel. The hotel will provide transportation, free of charge, to and from the hotel and CDC. For those who plan to drive to Atlanta, hotel parking is $24/day.
The conference will be held at the CDC, Global Communications Center (GCC), 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, Georgia, 30329. All conference sessions will be held at the GCC except for the ETN and PEN New Member Orientation which is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20th at 7:30-8:15 A.M. These two sessions will be held at the Marriott SpringHill Suites.
Conference participants will be required to complete security checks daily upon arrival at the CDC including presenting a U.S. passport, state driver’s license, or state issued ID. Temporary badges will be issued to participants. Non-U.S citizens are welcome to attend this conference; however, there are additional security requirements and participants should contact Peri Hopkins at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Transportation from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to the Marriott SpringHill Suites Buckhead
- MARTA train - $2.50 one way -- Take the northbound Sandy Springs train. DO NOT take the Doraville train. Exit at the Buckhead Station.
- Walking directions from the MARTA station: Look for the Tower Place exit at the end of the terminal. Walk over the sky walk/bridge. When that ends, turn right. You will pass Buckhead Church and Wells Fargo Bank on the left. The hotel is next door to the bank on the left.
- Complimentary hotel shuttle: You can also call the hotel (404-844-4800) to be picked up from the MARTA station.
- Taxis are approximately $50 one way.
Hotel to CDC
Roundtrip, complimentary daily shuttle service will be provided to the CDC. Additional information coming soon.
CDC to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Thursday, September 22nd
Because the CDC campus is not convenient to the MARTA train, we are arranging shuttle buses to take you from CDC to the airport after the meeting. The cost is $25 per person. Please bring your luggage with you the morning of September 22nd. You can store your luggage at the CDC concierge located behind the security guard stand. If needed, taxis can be arranged to the airport through the CDC Concierge Desk for a cost of approximately $50 per person. We strongly encourage taking the pre-arranged shuttle.
There will be several options to purchase meals including online orders from a local sandwich shop, the CDC Cafeteria which is newly renovated, and restaurants within walking distance of CDC. We will provide more details on these options in the near future. Breakfast is complimentary for participants staying at the Marriott SpringHill Suites.
