The Syphilis Elimination Effort (SEE) is a national initiative that brings together health care providers, policy makers, community leaders and state and local public health agencies, to reduce syphilis rates in the United States. Working together, we have a unique opportunity to control this devastating disease, reduce the transmission of HIV, and protect unborn infants.This web site provides information on the US Syphilis Elimination Effort as well as access to key epidemiological data, health communication resources and quick links to syphilis information.

CDC has a funding agreement with 59 state, local, and territorial STD programs to conduct SEE activities through December 2013.
