Awardee will:- Implement quality improvement and performance management initiatives identified through the state public health assessment
- Focus on effective administration through the strategic planning process
- Implement public health accreditation readiness activities
- Focus on improving staff quality and effectiveness
- Identify and implement performance management and quality improvement projects to improve efficiencies
- Amount of funding: $657,600
- Description of Project
Awardee will:- Identify and implement performance and quality improvement initiatives within state and local public health agencies
- Engage in cross-jurisdictional partnerships of health departments and system partners to increase development and implementation of evidence-based policies and laws to improve health
- Engage with local health departments to implement electronic environmental health reporting and increase development and implementation of evidence-based policies and laws resulting from real-time data to improve environmental health
- Implement an annual Learning Congress to identify promising and best practices
- Amount of funding: $200,000
- Description of Project:
Awardee will:
- Focus on building, institutionalizing, and implementing performance management capacity within health departments
- Support full-time "Performance Improvement Manager" who will participate in a national network of performance improvement professionals supported by CDC
- Amount of funding: $1,000,000
- Description of Project:
Awardee will enhance public health improvement efforts beyond Component I through two or more categories including: performance management, policy and workforce development, public health system development/redevelopment and best practice implementation.
