• Description of Project
  Awardee will:
  • Complete the public health accreditation application
  • Establish and implement a performance management system
  • Support the development of a policy analysis and partnerships engagement capability
  • Address deficiencies in one or more of the 12 Public Health Accreditation Board domain areas
  • Support local public health agencies in their accreditation efforts

2011 Funding (Year 2)

• Description of Project
  Awardee will:
  • Focus on prerequisites for their accreditation readiness
  • Develop workforce capability and systems to support a data-driven performance management and quality improvement (QI) culture
  • Launch QI initiatives to address deficiencies related to specific Public Health Accreditation Board standards or measures

2010 Funding (Year 1)

  • Focus on building, institutionalizing, and implementing performance management capacity within health departments
  • Support full-time "Performance Improvement Manager" who will participate in a national network of performance improvement professionals supported by CDC
