2012 Funding (Year 3)

• Amount of funding: $400,000
• Description of Project
  Awardee will:
  • Provide funding, training, and technical assistance to local and tribal public health departments to support specific quality improvement projects
  • Provide public training on various quality and performance management topics tailored to public health professionals
  • Support public health standards/accreditation coordinators in state, tribal, and local public health departments
  • Enhance website with training materials, performance management tools, resources, and contacts for technical support
  • Provide tailored training and technical assistance to tribal and local public health departments in support of quality improvement, public health standards, and voluntary public health accreditation

2011 Funding (Year 2)

• Amount of funding: $400,000
• Description of Project
  Awardee will:
  • Continue building the Performance Management Centers for Excellence infrastructure, which serve as regional resources to build and sustain Washington's performance management system and develop training materials to improve the knowledge and understanding of quality improvement methods among public health staff
  • Select local health jurisdictions, tribal health agencies, or a collaborative of these entities for performance improvement projects

  • Support full-time "Performance Improvement Manager" who will participate in a national network of performance improvement professionals supported by CDC
