This MMWR report summarizes the results of surveys conducted in 2007 of high school students in 26 Steps communities. As a component of the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS), communities also conducted school-based surveys of students in grades 9–12 in their program intervention areas. The communities used a modified core questionnaire that measured dietary behaviors, physical activity, tobacco use, and the prevalence of overweight, obesity, and asthma.

This MMWR report summarizes the results of surveys conducted in 2005 of adults aged 18 years or older in 39 Steps communities. Communities conducted stand-alone surveys or coordinated data collection with the state or local Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) in their program intervention areas. The communities used a modified core questionnaire that measured dietary behaviors, physical activity, tobacco use, and the prevalence of overweight, diabetes, and asthma.
