Special Focus Profiles

The Special Focus Profiles highlight trends and distribution of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in populations of particular interest for STD and HIV prevention programs in state and local health departments. These populations are most vulnerable to STDs and their consequences: women and infants, adolescents and young adults, minorities, men who have sex with men (MSM), and persons entering corrections facilities. The Special Focus Profiles refer to figures located in disease-specific sections in the National Profile and additional figures (Figures A-LL) that highlight specific points made in the text.
