Hotel Reservations:
Hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn Conference Center are available at $129/night for Standard Rooms if booked by Friday, March 6, 2009.
This rate is subject to applicable state and local taxes, currently 7%, as well as 7% occupancy tax.
To make reservations, please call the hotel reservation line at (800) 972–2404 and ask for the group rate for "CDC Symposium."
A deposit equal to one night's stay is required to hold each reservation. The deposit will confirm the reservation, and, upon check-in, will be applied to the first and/or final night of the reserved stay. The deposit is refundable if notice is received at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained. All deposits will be charged at the time the reservation is made.
Early Departure Fee -- Guests who check out prior to their scheduled departure will incur a $50 early departure fee. If you must change your departure date, please do so at or before check-in. The American Statistical Association does not book or cancel hotel reservations.
Airport:
Traveling to Decatur, you should fly into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Center, located in the terminal of the airport, will provide you with information about the different public transportation services.
Public Transportation:
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is Atlanta's major transportation system, with stations throughout the city and surrounding areas, and is the cheapest way to get around. It is about a thirty minute commute from the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport to the Decatur Station, which is a block and a half away from the Holiday Inn Conference Center. Single one-way fare cards can be purchased for $1.75, or you can get a multi-day visitor pass (1–7 days), with unlimited rides, for $8–$15. www.itsmarta.com*
