Social marketing and incorporation of Sūr'Eau into other maternal and child health projects with PSI/Burundi.

Nationwide distribution and mass media advertising

Intervention Elements

Sodium hypochlorite disinfectant produced locally in a 150 mL bottle. The brand name is Sūr'Eau.

Social marketing of Sūr'Eau at a subsidized price.

Incorporation of Sūr'Eau into other maternal and child health projects that PSI/Burundi is working with.

Project Successes

Launch anticipated in mid-2005.
