This interactive workshop demonstrates how to plan and evaluate community health promotion programs. Participants learn strategies and skills that can be applied to a broad range of disease prevention and health promotion topics. The workshop covers the following topics:
- Benefits of using evidence-based programs.
- Approaches to conducting needs assessments.
- Strategies for finding and adapting evidence-based interventions.
- Methods for conducting process and outcome evaluation.
Audience
The workshop is intended for public health practitioners and personnel from community organizations.
Duration
1.5 hours. Upon request, workshop presenters are available to work with organizations individually and offer an abbreviated workshop, tailored to the organization's needs.
