Global Informatics

In today’s globalized and interconnected world where diseases know no borders, domestic public health protection requires international cooperation and threat information sharing with countries and global partners. CDC has staff in over 50 countries advancing health improvements, protecting Americans from infectious and other hazards, and furthering health diplomacy. This mission of health advancement will require the sharing of information, utilization of technology, and the scientific field of Public Health Informatics to achieve its goal. NCPHI established a Global Public Health Informatics Program (GPHIP) to work collaboratively with the global community to leverage global expertise and innovations to improve domestic and international programs..
