PHHS Block Grant Supports Healthy People Priorities

HP 2020 MapHealthy People is a set of goals and objectives with 10-year targets designed to guide national health promotion and disease prevention efforts to improve the health of all people in the United States. Released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services each decade, this framework reflects the idea that setting objectives and providing science-based benchmarks to track and monitor progress can motivate and focus action.

Block Grantees use Healthy People objectives to address the unique health needs and funding gaps in their communities. In fiscal year 2013, the PHHS Block Grant operates using Healthy People 2020 objectives. For a list of grant recipients' health priorities, see the alphabetical list below

Healthy People Priorities — Fiscal Years 2012, 2013

For a complete list of Healthy People Priorities for each state, district, tribe, or territory, use the alphabet menu. Funded health objectives for 2012 and 2013 are listed for each grantee in descending funding levels.
