PHHS Block Grant Supports Healthy People Priorities

HP 2020 MapHealthy People is a set of goals and objectives with 10-year targets designed to guide national health promotion and disease prevention efforts to improve the health of all people in the United States. Released by the US Department of Health and Human Services each decade, this framework reflects the idea that setting objectives and providing science-based benchmarks to track and monitor progress can motivate and focus action.

Healthy People 2020 Priorities by Grantee — Fiscal Year 2015

In fiscal year 2015, the PHHS Block Grant recipients operate using Healthy People 2020 topic areas to address the health needs and funding gaps specific to their communities. Collectively, grantees worked on 32 of the 41 possible Healthy People 2020 topic areas. The information in these tables reflects how funding was distributed across topic areas as of September 13, 2015. Grantees were able to move money between topic areas during the project period (October 1, 2014–September 30, 2015) to ensure resources went to the highest priority needs.

For a list of grantee health priorities, see the alphabetical list below.
